Daily Mystic Messages - Don't be an "a-hole"
Most of us probably have a friend or someone in our life who is always asking for your advice, only to completely ignore it.
I’m not saying that they’re supposed to take the advice every time. But when they keep coming back with the same questions and situations and problems, and keep ignoring the same advice, it’s kind of annoying.
This sort of person is known as an “Ask Hole.”
And maybe you’re chuckling right now because you do know someone like that, but have you ever considered that you might be one too?
You just might be...from a certain point of view.
If you are constantly seeking guidance or signs from your intuition, higher self, G-d, the Universe, etc., yet you don’t take action on any of it, you might be an ask-hole.
If you get the signs, then refuse to follow, you might be an askhole.
If you’re asking for signs about things that you already know the answers to, “Just to be sure” you might be an askhole.
I could go on.
You’ve probably heard the saying that if don’t listen to the whispers, you get the 2x4. An easy way to see this in in health. People don’t listen to the subtle signs that something is off with their body, and then suddenly they’re sick. Well, not actually suddenly, but that’s how it feels.
It’s a noisy world, and if we don’t have a practice of learning to listen to the voice that comes through in inner quietude, we’ll need that 2x4 to hear something.
That’s kind of a stressful way to live, don’t you think?
It also erodes self-trust and opens the door for a lot of second-guessing; would'ves, could’ves and shoud’ves.
But here’s the most important part...
When you keep asking the same questions, and getting the same answers, yet refuse to take action, or keep putting it off, you’re not going to get any more.
Why would you put more food on a plate that’s already full?
No one says you’re going to like the answers and guidance you get. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t right for you. Maybe it’s exactly what you needed.
The only way you’ll ever know is by taking your next step. So don’t be an ask-hole.
