Falling down becomes very unsafe.
Looking foolish, silly, or dumb.
They might not take you seriously if they see you fall.
They might discount you all together.
They might reject you or abandon you because they don’t want your failure on them.
It’s no wonder that perfectionism runs rampant.
The truth is this. If you’re not falling down, then you are very likely stuck firmly in your comfort zone. And if you’re in your comfort zone, you’re not growing. Not in the ways that matter at least.
Falling down is for learning. There’s no reason to make it so personal. So see if you can find the places where you’re holding back, and start to let loose.
