I always know when a new iOS update is coming because all of my apps start asking to be updated. Now don't get me started on how many of those I actually use. That's a story for another message.
Today I want to talk about the updates themselves. Because sometimes I ignore them. 20-30-50 updates piling up. And the longer I let them pile up, the more things start to get weird.
The apps start doing weird things. Not loading properly. Sometimes they're super slow. There's even one that pretends like it's going to open, only to wink out at the last moment in an endless loop.
Weird.
And if I let it keep piling up, my phone starts to act weird too. Like the gears are grinding.
And while I am a fan of keeping your tech as clean and organized as you would a physical desk or workspace. After all, a clean space supports a clear, organized mindset.
But that's not why I'm telling you this. I'm talking about this because as you grow and develop, you go through different versions and updates too.
So you start communicating better and setting healthy boundaries. That's great. But that means that some new agreements need to be made in your relationships.
If you just set the boundaries, but don't update your agreements, the people in your life are going to be confused. Maybe even frustrated. And that confusion and conflict works against the grain. You can see how the gears start grinding, right?
This is true on a more subtle level too. As you come to the a new level of expansion, say in your prosperity, things start to come up to be released.
A lot of people have the idea that it's a "Test" from the universe or something like that. I don't think the universe plays games like that.
It makes more sense that the things coming up are things that can't go with you where you say you want to go.
There are old beliefs and unhealthy habits that simply won't be sustainable in a new version of you and your life.
If you ignore these things, and fight against them, they'll ripple out into different areas of your life and start to pile up. Just like your apps waiting to be updated. All that friction will cause the gears start to grind.
And this is one of the super common yet sneaky ways that people stop just before their big breakthrough. It all just becomes too much and it's easier to just leave things the way they are.
Or some people even decide to just chuck the whole thing and start from scratch (another sneaky habit that feels good for a minute). Which is like factory resetting your phone and starting from scratch.
Which is definitely the hard way to go about it.
Staying on top of this doesn't have to be hard. Mostly it's about staying with the flow. Checking in with yourself regularly, which is what the daily questions for self love are for, and making new decisions that support what you want to create in your life.
What are the little updates you need to make today?
