Daily Mystic Messages - Fast-Talking Your Way Out of Feeling

If you're reading this, you're the sort of person who signs up for a self-love course, and you're probably aware enough of your thoughts and emotions to know which ones lead to the places you want to go. And for the ones that drag you down. We often label these as “good or bad, or positive or negative”.

You might also be the kind of person that likes to go fast and get the results that you want more quickly and this actually creates a perfect storm for bypassing what's really going on inside of us. So in our heads, we might say something mean or something negative and then we catch ourselves and say something like, “well, I shouldn't feel that way”, or you just replace it with a “good thought” before we even acknowledge what our brains just did. 

In effect, we wind up fast-talking ourselves out of feeling how we're feeling or thinking what we're thinking and this does two things that are a bit problematic.

One, it sets up an inner conflict and if you go back to the peace treaty, it's all about laying down arms and not fighting with ourselves. Yet we fight with ourselves when we try to talk ourselves into or convince ourselves into feeling something different or ignoring what we've been feeling.

This brings me to the second point; it fragments your energy and alienates the part of you that has the “bad thoughts” and feelings. This is the opposite of the wholeness that we're going for. 

Unconditional love is also about complete acceptance and facing your thoughts and your emotions. This method may seem like it's a slow path but in reality, it's a whole lot faster because you're not getting stuck in that resistance of conflict and playing out the same old patterns of self-blame and punishment and trying to fix yourself.

When you accept fully, you can let go and choose something different, much easier, and you get a chance to come into the wholeness of your being. You can then love yourself for having the “negative or bad thoughts” and emotions as well. And that is a true sense of wholeness and unconditional love.
